looks like I'm the first to report about Realtek 8180 chipset. Airopeek NX Demo (2.0.5) works just fine with this MAC chip on Windows 2k. Everything looks and works as it should, that is monitoring the channels and so on...
However, I have trouble with airodump. Firstly I don't know which interface type is the right one: o-orinoco or a-aironet/atheros for my realtek device., but i've tried both anyway.
When monitoring unencrypted packets airodump runs fine, but when WEP'ed packets it doesn't write the packets into a file. the pcap file contains very little bytes, perhaps only the first packet... what am I doing wrong?

so i never got to running airocrack to try decrypting, since i got no pcap file.
